For nearly 40 years I have spent my days teaching elementary music in the public schools. Throughout that time I have usually been teaching a Bible class in the various places where we have lived. My husband Lee and I have served as education directors for the Lytle Church of Christ in Lytle, TX; the Katy Church of Christ in Katy, TX and even here in the church in El Campo many years ago. When I retired from teaching last year it coincided with the arrival of Hurricane Harvey which devastated the home of our former director, Carrie Watts. I stepped in to help her and have maintained the position when she needed to concentrate on her family and the need to rebuild a home.

My main concern for our children is that they understand God's plan for them and that they have the tools to use their Bibles as a source for discovering that plan. Our curriculum is the Gospel Project from Lifeway Publishing. This covers the Bible through a three-year cycle of lessons. The lesson taught in our Kingdom Kids worship time is reinforced in our Bible classes.

Children are loved and celebrated at El Campo Church of Christ! During his life, Jesus took children into his arms and he blessed them. Today, we want all our kids to know that same love and special favor through the children’s ministry of this church!

We believe that children are in a constant state of discovery. Just like Jesus matured in wisdom and grew in size, building great relationships with both God and people (Luke 2:52), so should our children! Our children’s ministry is designed to do just that.  Our children’s ministry is designed to lead kids to discover who God is, how he loves them, how to relate to him, and what he can do through them. Come, and encourage your children to discover God’s best for them. 

  • Children's Worship Time (Kingdom Kids) for ages 3 - 3rd grade 10:30-11:15 am
  • An unattended nursery is available next door to the women's restroom
  • An attended nursery is available in the children's wing for infants up to the 3rd birthday
  • Sunday Morning Bible Class: 11:15-11:50 am infants-5th grade
  • Wednesday Night Bible Class: 6:30-7:30 pm
  • Big Events: TBA
